The Story

As part of an initiative to establish a new Film Making Degree Program for the School of Media, Culture and Design, the University had successfully secured a grant, attracted award winning faculty and created a healthy buzz among potential students; and the last remaining component to the winning formula was a State-of-the-Art facility to house it all. Having successfully partnered with this client on multiple projects during a 5-year relationship, S3 was hired early on under a negotiated deign build agreement to assist with budget establishment, feasibility studies, program development and execution of the build.

Keeping an eye on eminent technological advances, we worked to design and deliver a building that will easily respond to and accommodate upgrades well into the foreseeable future. Working closely with acousticians, systems engineers, entertainment consultants and audio-visual experts, we delivered an incredibly efficient yet high-performing space that will help launch future film makers into an exciting career for years to come.
